3D Claymation - "Lucky Ducky"

This was a very fun transmedia IP project with the goal of bringing a cute Claymation character to life in 3D across multiple platforms, while retaining the tactile aesthetic and appeal of the original stop-motion source material from Lucky Ducky Toons. ✨

I began by creating the Ludky Ducky 3D asset in Blender - a process which included modeling, UV unwrapping, rigging, weight painting, animation, and early look-dev of the asset. Substance 3D Painter was also used for texture painting
The finalized assets were then imported into Unreal Engine 5 for further look-dev and R&D (Manny humanoid-based skeleton), where I set them up using the UE5 Blueprint framework (actors, animation, UI widgets, etc.) to control real-time animation, actor/environment interaction, Niagara FX, post-processing, and some UI/UX. 🎮

Part of the later campaign also explored the use of XR via Instagram interactive effects, which I created using Meta Spark AR Studio. 💚
